DHi Selected for USAF Manufacturing Program

Trenton, NC (April 4, 2008)—Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) has become the first North Carolina company accepted into the United States Air Force Manufacturing Technical Assistance Production Program (MTAPP).

The intent of MTAPP is to assist small business manufacturers by enhancing their ability to address supply-chain problems affecting mission capability rates of Air Force weapons systems.

Participating in MTAPP will further DHi’s efforts to facilitate the manufacture of critical components for numerous aircraft throughout the Air Force and the Department of Defense (DoD) community as well as among the military’s prime vendors. The Program is also expected to enhance DHi’s supply chain processes and help increase visibility for the company’s innovative technology products — such as its Metal Fiber Brushes (MFBs) and Photoluminescent Safety Solutions®.

MTAPP was established under the Air Force Office of Small Business Programs (formerly the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization) in 1997 to help improve the competitiveness and manufacturing efficiencies of small manufacturing firms that support the Air Force’s mission and work to advance our national defense capabilities.

Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi), a service disabled veteran-owned business, is a world-class team of dedicated engineering professionals committed to developing and deploying innovative technologies to advance the national interest and improve the lives of all Americans.
