AfterGlow Technologies Wins New NYC Building Awards

AfterGlow Technologies Wins New NYC Building Awards

New York, NY (June 20, 2006)—With the July 1, 2006 deadline for NYC's Local Law 26 looming perilously close, AfterGlow Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DHi, has won 14 significant new photoluminescent safety systems installation awards.

These new awards include four additional Newmark Knight Frank Buildings and two additional GVA Williams buildings. AfterGlow (AGT) had received earlier "split" awards from these two firms, but was called in for these additional installations after both companies terminated other contractors because they could not meet the city's rigid completion commitments for installing photoluminescent (PL) materials prior to the July deadline mandated by the new law.

In addition to these awards, AGT won six Grubb & Ellis buildings under a single RFP award. The company also announced that they will be installing PL materials in two high-profile corporate headquarters buildings, the Lehman Brothers World Headquarters building at 745 Seventh Avenue, and Sony Headquarters at 550 Madison Avenue.

As the July 1 implementation deadline closes in, it has been estimated that nearly 1,000 of the Class E buildings covered under LL26 have not yet awarded PL installation contracts. AfterGlow Technologies is continuing to work 24/7 with owners and managers of these remaining structures to help address these pressing installation issues.

I am pleased to announce a series of additional awards in New York City over the last two weeks. These include 14 new buildings.
