AfterGlow Technologies Wins Major NYC Contracts
New York, NY (May 2, 2006) — It's been a busy spring in New York as major corporations and building management firms scramble to meet the July 1 deadline for complying with the city's Local Law 26. The law mandates the use of "glow-in-the-dark" emergency signage in Class E office buildings. And AfterGlow Technologies has been in the thick of the fray.
Since January, AfterGlow personnel have been consulting with building managers, conducting surveys, and submitting numerous proposals to provide and install photoluminescent signage and exit markings in an ever-narrowing time window. And it's a challenge. Not only must winning vendors obtain significant quantities of top-quality products and adapt the products to suit each building environment. But they and their qualified subcontractors must be able to install these materials in an attractive and durable manner in varied and sometimes challenging physical situations.
But AfterGlow, with its proven track record of installing photoluminescent safety solutions for the Federal government in Washington — including the Department of Energy and the Pentagon, where the company won a $6.5 million multi-year installation contract — has inspired many of New York's top management firms and corporations to go with the AfterGlow flow and choose the top-rated company in the business to perform their building installations.
Contracts are being awarded every day in New York. To date, AfterGlow has contracted with major firms like Citigroup and ABC/Disney to install photoluminescent products in many of their buildings. AfterGlow has also won contracts from Madison Square Garden to install safety solutions in its office suites and arena skywalks.
AfterGlow has also won contracts from major building management firms such as GVA Williams, Newmark, Equity Office, and Lee Tai Enterprises to install photoluminescent products in many of their buildings.
It's an exciting time, and a frantic time, to be involved with safety solutions in large New York City office buildings. But AfterGlow Technologies is paving the way in the business capitol of the free world, as it has done in Washington, DC, by helping provide building safety security for the employees and customers of major corporations with quality installations of state-of-the-art photoluminescent products.
